SK Services began as a side business by Steve McMillan 2013 as a way to make a little extra spending money using his knowledge of fertilizer, weed control products, and techniques which he had learned while working on golf courses in the Abilene Area. Since 2013 SK services grew and specialized into providing specific customized turf services based on their clients needs. In 2017 Steve decided to pursue SK Services as a full time company. At SK Services we're passionate in our mission to provide personalized services tailored to meet your expectations and site specific needs of your residential or commercial lawn, sports field or golf course.

Steve grew up in San Angelo and was the kid down the street mowing lawns and raking leaves for the neighborhood. By the age of 20 he was a partner in San Angelo Lawn Service which maintained 70+ home lawns while attending college and working on the golf course at San Angelo Country Club. Steve left San Angelo to attend Western Texas College in Snyder obtaining an associates degree in golf/turf management. In 1992 he began his career at the Abilene Country Club, remaining there until 2017 as the head superintendent over both the Club and Fairway courses.
